Blogging to Promote Your Website

Whats a blog? It's a web log or a journal. The reverse chronological order of the blog posts places your most recent blog post on top.

Why Blog? Blogging is an excellent way to bring more traffic to your photo website. Any time you upload new photos to your gallery, or have an announcement to make, like you'll be shooting a baseball game this weekend. Blog It! Tell the blogging community and the world about your new images. Create a blog entry that will make them want to see more of your work and put a link to your main photography website from your blog post so they can easily surf to your gallery and maybe buy some photos. As an added bonus the search engines consider the link to your gallery or website from your blog post as a "vote" for your website and the more Links or "votes" for your website, the better your Google Page Rank will get and the better your page rank is, the more traffic you'll get from the search engines.

So did you sign up? Oh, another thing. When you post entries to your blog, pay particular attention to your titles they tend to rank very high on the google search engine. Consider the title like they are the tags or keywords target your title to the search engine users you want to bring to your website and use all of the words in your title in your blog post a couple of times.
