Capable of shooting 3 frames per second for up to 144 consecutive shots. The Nikon D70S has a 1/8000th of a second shutter speed and a sync speed of 1/500th of a second for flash. There's a larger 2" preview screen on the D70S. The D70 is compatible with more than 90% of all Nikon F-mount lenses ever made. The new easy to read menu makes using the camera faster. It still has the 5 area auto-focus system.
