The NEW LATC is an 85,000 square foot performing arts center in the heart of downtown Los Angeles (5th/ Spring Street) that has just reopened! It has four theaters that have combined 1300 seats, and a grand lobby that can hold 850 people. Furthermore, the NEW LATC has gone under a $4.5 million renovation in the past two years, and is now ready to get new faces involved in its’ future!

How the Competition Works:
Any photographer can request to shoot one of our upcoming events. We will then assign each photographer a particular night to shoot one of our events.

At the end of summer, we will review each photographers’ work. Based on our review process, we will then hire an official photographer for our Fall International Theater Festival (and potentially future programs as well).

How to Apply:
- Send us a resume, and a statement of interest
- Indicate which dates/times (from the following) you would be able/interested in photographing. NOTE: All events are at the NEW LATC, and you ONLY need to be there for a night of the performance):
o Semyon Kobialka- Saturday, May 10th 8 p.m.
o Cold Tofu- May 9th, and 10th- 8 p.m.
o Mexika- Sunday May 18th @ 3 p.m.
o El Ruco Chuco Cholo Pachuco- May 23,24, (8 p.m.) 25 (3 p.m.)
o Stormy Weather- May 24 @ 8 p.m.
o Elevaters- May 31st @ 8 p.m.
o BUCK World- May 31st @ 8 p.m., June 1st @ 3 p.m.
o Solitude- June 7th @ 8p.m., June 8th @ 3 p.m.
- NOTE: There will be additional programming if none of these dates/times work for you. Please still send resume/statement of interest, and indicate that none of these dates/times work for you

Eligibility
To be considered, you must be:
-at least 18 years old
-some previous college, or professional, photography experience
-camera equipment
-Reside in Los Angeles County- (or an ability to get to downtown Los Angeles)
